Rhea Silvia Luxury Rooms Navona is located in the heart of the Eternal City, in one of Rome’s most famous squares. Piazza Navona owes its original shape to a faithful imitation of the perimeter of the ancient stadium of Domitian, built in in 86 A. C. The remains of this ancient structure lie 6 meters below today’s street level and can still be seen under a modern building in Piazza di Tor Sanguigna and in the basement of the Sant’Agnese in Agone’s Church.

A symbol of the Baroque period, it was built on the orders of Pope Innocent X and entrusted to great masters such as Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Francesco Borromini, Girolamo Rainaldi, Pietro da Cortona, Gregorio Zappalà and Antonio della Bitta. In the centre of Piazza Navona is the Fountain of the Four Rivers, in the north the Fountain of the Moor and in the south of square the Fountain of Neptune.

And it is in front of Bernini’s majestic fountain that our most prestigious suites are located, in a historic building where you can admire one of the remains of Domitian’s stadium.
